3rd coat of sanding sealer done on wednesday lunch. Should be ready for painting on monday. The lessons before that rounded the edges of the chair, filed the slots so they were a bit looser and we looked at finishes one lesson.

Last lesson i cut most of the slots out on my chair. To do this i used a coping saw and a file. For some slots that were in the middle of the piece i had to first drill a hole using the pillar drill, then dissasemble the coping saw put it in the hole then assemble it and start cutting. Next lesson i will finsih the slots and get on to painting the chair.

Diary

Last lesson I continued with cutting out my chair from the MDF. I am about half way through this task now. To cut out the chair i used a coping saw and used sand paper and the disc sander to smooth down rough edges. I will continue with this next lesson. I think the scroll saw will be faster and i will try using this next lesson. Next lesson i will continue with cutting my chair out. Hopefully i will get the cutting out finished next lesson so i can get onto finishing the chair.
